Pharmacist graduated from the University Cheikh Anta DIOP of Dakar (UCAD) and Doctor in Analytical Chemistry from the University of Strasbourg, Prof. Sarr is a full university professor in service at the UCAD Laboratory of Analytical Chemistry and Bromatology of the Faculty of Medicine, Pharmacy and Dentistry.He is also head of the physico-chemical and pharmacotechnical unit of the Senegal National Laboratory of Drug Control, where he has been practicing for about fifteen years. Prof. Sarr is a specialist in medicines and food quality. He is heavily involved in the development of alternative analytical strategies for the quality control of health products.
Knight of the National Order of the Lion of Senegal, Pr Sarr is a founding member of the Senegalese Committee for Chemistry, member of several learned societies including the West African Society of Chemistry, the International Society for the Development of Natural Products and the Society of Expert Chemists of France. Author of several international scientific publications, Pr Sarr has supervised some forty Masters, more than a hundred pharmacy theses, 2 PHD and 4 others in progress.
